Anthony Jarrett, MASc, P.Eng

Anthony Jarrett, MASc, P.Eng

Team Lead, Structural Analysis

Tony gained his undergraduate degree at The University of Birmingham, UK, in Mechanical and Materials Engineering. He worked for several years in the UK: first at QinetiQ in the Aerospace Structures department, and then with Siemens Power Generation (steam turbines) as a finite element analyst.
In 2009 he made the move to Canada, and studied at Queen's University for two years in the Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) program. His field of research was the application of numerical optimization methods to the design of electric vehicle battery cooling systems.
Following the completion of his Master's degree, he worked in Gatineau for Brayton Energy Canada as a mechanical designer on micro-gas turbines and compact heat exchangers. He joined Life Prediction Technologies in 2014.
Currently, he is using his knowledge of numerical methods and optimization to create a software tool for the thermodynamic modeling and analysis of gas turbines.

Feng Gao, Ph.D, P.Eng

Feng Gao, Ph.D, P.Eng

Senior Materials Engineer

Dr. Gao serves as a Senior Materials & Metallurgical Engineer at LPTi, and is responsible for collecting materials data for simulation, conducting the failure analysis of the components in gas turbine engines, and developing the code ofthe life prediction for the coatings in gas turbine engines.

Dr Gao gained his Ph.D at Carleton University in 2012, and he has published more than 20 papers on peer-reviewed journals. Also Dr Gao is a registered professional engineer in Ontario, Canada.
