He worked for several years in the UK: first at QinetiQ in the Aerospace Structures department, and then with Siemens Power Generation (steam turbines) as a finite element analyst. In 2009 he made the move to Canada, and studied at Queen's University for two years in the Master of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) program. His field of research was the application of numerical optimization methods to the design of electric vehicle battery cooling systems. Following the completion of his Master's degree, he worked in Gatineau for Brayton Energy Canada as a mechanical designer on micro-gas turbines and compact heat exchangers. He joined Life Prediction Technologies in 2014. He has previously served as a turbomachinery aerodynamicist on the Supercritical CO2 gas turbine project, a joint venture between Carleton University and Natural Resources Canada. He has also developed flight simulation models for various airframe designs as a member of Carleton’s Blackbird UAV competition team. Since 2016, he has been collaborating with LPTi on developing turbine degradation assessment techniques while pursuing his Master of Applied Science degree at Carleton University. He joined LPTi as a part-time intern in September 2018.
